Happy New Year!

Last meal I ate in 2006?

Chilli Crabs from Under Bridge Spicy Crab.

Yum, yum, together with roasted pigeon, black bean clams, 'dou mui' greens, salt 'n pepa squid and baby oyster congee.

The first thing I ate in 2007?

To my shame, half a Krispy Kreme glazed donut left over from 2006...

Sorry for the lack of pics, the connection has slowed considerably since the Taiwan earthquake.

They've got Krispy Kreme over there too?

My first meal of 2007 was a Jamaican patty and curry puff. If you are ever in BC, the best Jamaican place to go to is on St. Johns road in Port Moody. Little mom and pop restaurant called Rehannah's.

Can't wait to see the food pics from Paris!

I didn't know they had Krispy Kreme in HK! I love the glazed ones. They are so delicious! But you must also try the Choc Ice doughnuts as those are great out of the fridge. The cream will taste like ice cream.

My sister is so nuts about it, before they opened in Melbourne she would cart 24 of those from Sydney whenever she was there.

I think the first thing I ate on New Year's day was toast with Vegemite - extremely boring, I know. But that's cos I had freakin' food poisoning on New Year's Eve after a night of ribs and lamb rack at Hurricane's in Bondi Beach in Sydney.

I was making friends with the porceline goddess on the wee hours of the 31st. Sigh! What a way to welcome the New Year.

First thing I ate new years day was aspirin. Then we had a huge fry up, bacon, egg, tomato, mushrooms, beans, toast, brown sauce, sausages and black pudding. It was a real rib sticker but well worth it and presto my hangover was gone.

And shame on you for eating krispy kreme. They're all kemicals you know....
